Las Vegas ParAm again brings fun, sizzle to Sin City John Lahtinen September 18, 2014 HEADLINES, TRAVEL The 4th annual Las Vegas ParAm – billed as the “world’s sexiest golf tournament” – enjoyed yet another successful event this year at the beautiful Walters Golf-owned Bali Hai Golf Club. A completely sold out field of 147 golfers from the U.S., Canada, Australia, Panama, Mexico, Navajo Nation and the UK were joined by an army of more than 50 beautiful ParMate hosts. These female caddies, exclusive to Walters Golf, are not just easy to look at but possess a ton of course knowledge and experience. ParMates have graced the pages of FHM, Playboy and more. The ParAm – which includes two nights accommodations, Limobus transportation, drinks, cigars, thousands of dollars in prizes and giveaways and oh did we mention the ParMates – always sells out, but this year it sold out within just a couple months of the tournament announcement. But don’t worry there is hope for the many golfers who were turned away as Walters Golf has a ParMate Classic planned for February 28! Previous ParAm participants and people on the waiting list will get the first dibs at registration before tournament registration is opened up to the general public. “This was our biggest ParAm ever,” said Nate Corliss, marketing manager for the Walters Group. “We put on this event because it’s a fun way to show off the ParMates in a tournament setting. The ParMates pride themselves on knowing the game of golf. They will help with club selection, reading putts, replacing divots and keeping score. They also add a lot of fun and excitement to any round.” While the final score didn’t result in any prize, there were mini-competitions on 16 of 18 holes with giveaways including Callaway golf clubs, high-end golf gear and return visits to Walters Golf courses. The event is also very popular with sponsors as well with names like Callaway Golf, Red Bull, Jagermeister, Canyon Ranch, the Venetian, the Palazzo, Sailor Jerry, Rock of Ages and Blue Man Group among those supporting it. Be on the lookout for more information about February’s ParMate Classic, especially you golfers who will be knee deep in snow right about that time. Count me in.
