As we rapidly approach the 2014 Ryder Cup, the folks over at UK-based equipment and clothing retailer OnlineGolf have been kind enough to create a guide to this year’s Ryder Cup chock full of information on the U.S. and European teams, the history of the tournament, and the entire PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles in Scotland, including videos of each and every hole and suggestions for how the holes are best played.

While experienced players and fans of the game will find much to interest them in the guide, the crew at OnlineGolf says the guide is aimed at viewers who might be newer to golf and might not know that much about the Ryder Cup.

“Of course the Ryder Cup really is an international tournament and it brings a lot of new players to the game, so it was important for us to create something these new players could refer to and learn more about the competition from,” said Mike Gosling, online marketing executive. “The Ryder Cup is always a busy time for us and we wanted to give all the visitors to the site something more to look at than just equipment.”

“We gathered as much information as we could, got in touch with some experts and put it all together in one easy to navigate resource that could help both new and experienced golfers alike.”

Scotland is playing host for just the second time in Ryder Cup history, the last being in 1973 at Muirfield when the U.S. won 19-13.
