TaylorMade Golf Experience in Las Vegas a Sure Bet John Lahtinen September 4, 2014 HEADLINES, TRAVEL What if I told you that you could enjoy a top-notch golf experience right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip … and did not have to dip into your kid’s college fund to do so? No it’s not a mirage, it’s the TaylorMade Golf Experience, mere minutes from the Strip in the shadow of the ultra-popular Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino. “This is a one of a kind location, offering golfers the opportunity to practice and play the game on the Las Vegas Strip,” said Brad Holder, Senior Director of marketing operations for TMaG. “It delivers an innovative experience for golfers, which is perfectly aligned with the TaylorMade brand – Innovation is at the core of everything we do.” An ongoing renovation and revamping has been taking place at the former Callaway Golf Center since TaylorMade took over the facility in 2013. Today, the TaylorMade Golf Experience not only boasts a 10,000 square-foot retail space offering every major brand name in equipment and fashion, but a fully-stocked restaurant and bar called the Upper Deck Grill and Sports Lounge, a full fitting facility where visitors can receive a personalized state-of-the-art club fitting from a TaylorMade Golf Master Club Fitter, and the largest practice range in Las Vegas featuring nearly 115 natural or artificial turf hitting bays, five target greens, and a synthetic, environmentally-friendly range surface made to react like actual grass fairways and greens. But, after you’ve gotten fit for some new sticks, had a burger and a couple cold ones, and hit a bucket at the range, you’re ready to experience the real sizzle – The Par-3 Course at the TaylorMade Golf Experience. With nine holes ranging from 110 to 185 yards and challenging greens, the lighted Robert Cupp-designed Par-3 Course presents an enjoyable challenge for any golfer all with the absolutely breathtaking views only the Las Vegas Strip can provide in the distance and rates starting at just $30 for non-residents. “The TMGE is the ideal place for golfers to find the right club for them,” Holder said. “By January, we plan to take that one step further when we introduce the TaylorMade Performance Studio to Vegas. This will give us the ability to build custom clubs for golfers onsite directly after they’re fit.” TaylorMade also plans to open another Performance Studio in Orange County, Ca.
