TaylorMade’s Father’s Day Celebration Brian June 11, 2014 HEADLINES, PGA Tour Since this U.S. Open tournament typically falls on the weekend of the U.S. Open, TaylorMade thought it would be a perfect opportunity to honor the players’ families in a unique way. The staff players will be by carrying new silver SLDR-S staff bags emblazoned with the name of a loved one. Nearly 30 players will put bags in play that instead of their own name, will feature their father, grandfather or children’s names – some with multiple. Among them: Stuart Cink will pay homage to his late father-in-law with the initials PL, along with featuring his father Rob’s name. Scott Langley will feature his soon-to-be-daughter’s name, Kennedy Caroline; Langley’s wife is pregnant. Sergio Garcia will have his father Victor’s name on a red staff bag, the color signifying Spain as defending World Cup champions. Graeme Storm highlights his grandfather William Trueman, the man that introduced him to the game of golf. Justin Rose, defending champion, will celebrate his children, Liam and Lotte, on his bag. The TaylorMade silver staff bags commemorate the launch of TaylorMade’s new SLDR-S driver. Keep an eye out this weekend for this touching tribute.
